Personal Growth & Wellbeing

Empowering you to make the positive change you want to see in your life

Hi, I’m Anita. I’m passionate about supporting women and children through their day to day struggles and help them find the right path to achieving their goals. I’m a Personal Growth and Wellbeing Coach, with over 20 years’ experience working in secondary education and I’m a working mum of two. I understand what it’s like to navigate life’s challenges and come out the other side winning, and I want to help you find your way ahead too.

What can coaching do for me?

Do you feel like you’ve been drifting through life since your teenage years and wondered “is this really the best I can get out of life?”

Working with a coach on the thoughts, feelings and issues that are holding you back is a powerful way to find the clear route ahead to becoming the woman you want to be. Some of the issues that might be holding you back include:

  • low self-esteem and self-confidence
  • feelings of ‘not being good enough’
  • difficulty juggling work with family life
  • lacking clarity and direction around your career and personal goals

The good news is that these can all be changed through coaching, and I have the skills and experience to help you get there.

“Anita is a very approachable and positive person. Her coaching is holistic which works great because until you go through the process you don’t realise how one area of your life can negatively/positively impact other areas. The sessions provided lots of positive reinforcement.  I was able to work on a framework to help me identify the changes I wanted to make and an action plan to that ensured positive change occurred. In summary Anita has enabled me to transform my life in ways that I never imagined and I am truly grateful.”   Amanda

One of the concerns I hear so often from the women I coach is how to help them guide their children through the difficult teenage years.

That’s why I also offer wellbeing coaching to preteens and teens

It can be difficult for families trying to help their children get through their teenage years. Academic pressure, negative beliefs, peer pressure and low self-esteem, can all make coping with school and friendships challenging. Not to mention the impact this can have on siblings and the rest of the family.

It’s a lot to deal with, and how we get through our teenage years can pave the way for how we manage the rest of our lives.

It’s not just academic pressure and struggling to be social that can make life difficult as a teenager. Not fully understanding emotions, the impact they have and how to manage them can lead to self-destructive behaviour and negative beliefs too.

Drawing on my skills and experiences as a teacher, and as a working mum of 2, I can help teens to manage their anxiety, develop organisational skills that’ll help them cope with their academic workload and stress, and help them reach the right balance between school, friends and family life.

“I have always been quite a shy boy with very little confidence. I had 6 sessions with Anita and I feel great. I am now able to open up to my mum more about my feelings and I have a better relationship with my brother and sister. The biggest change for me has been that I am confident to talk to people who are outside of my family or close friend group. I am happy to be the one to start up a conversation now which I would have been a nightmare scenario for me a few months ago. I am determined to continue working with the strategies that Anita has introduced to me. A big thank you for your support Anita.”  Tom – 14 year old

It’s not easy for the schools and teaching staff either.

Trying to manage workload and progression targets while helping every child achieve their best, all while trying to juggle family life can be challenging.

As a coach for the East Midlands Leading Women in Education, and with my 20+ years’ experience working in education, I know how overwhelming it can be as a teacher.

University can’t prepare you for the reality of the job, and more experienced teachers still have to grasp curriculum changes, additional workload and responsibility that sometimes feels never-ending.

That’s why I offer personal development coaching to teachers at any stage of their career to help them balance work and home, achieve the career progression they’re striving for and prevent burnout from workload and overwhelm.

“Anita coached me during a difficult period early on in my teaching career, when I was trying to adjust to a completely new way of working. She would always listen intently to what I had to say, but never judged me, which enabled me to move forward with confidence.  I honestly believe that Anita can help so many other teachers through her coaching and definitely recommend others to seek out her support.” A Grateful Teacher
